There’s a very special little girl in my life named Brooke Hester. I often refer to her as “Little Brooke” and she calls me Big Brooke :’) I’m sure you’ve seen her around on tumblr in pictures with Taylor. (If not, you can check my tag for her here.) She is currently fighting stage 4 Neuroblastoma and has been for a few years now. When she first started losing her hair, Brooke and her mom started making flower headbands to help her feel pretty. From there, an organization called “Brooke’s Blossoms" was created. This project gives handmade headbands to kids who have lost their hair during treatment. It’s a non profit organization that relies heavily on the big hearts of volunteers and people who donate money and supplies. That being said, Brooke’s 7th birthday is coming up and instead of presents she’s asking for donations to help keep her organization going. Her goal amount is $7,777 in honor of her turning 7. This little girl is my heart. She’s one of the most selfless, beautiful, caring, thoughtful, spunky people on this entire planet and I mean that wholeheartedly. I have learned so much from her, even at her young age. If you can help in any way, whether it’s by actually donating or just spreading the word, it would mean so much. If you’re in a position to do so, you can donate here. Please and thank you <3

What I’ve learned is not to change who you are, because eventually you’re going to run out of new things to become and I had this epiphany that I didn’t have to dress like everybody else, and it was life-changing.”
